Dr Todd Cooney was born and raised in Indiana and trained at Purdue University for undergraduate studies and veterinary school. He worked in private practice, served as an officer in the US Air Force and Army and worked as a USDA veterinarian.
After almost twenty years of conventional practice, he took Dr Richard Pitcairn’s Professional Course in Veterinary Homeopathy and changed the way he viewed health and disease. Dr Cooney began to use homeopathy in his practice before he had even finished the course, and now uses it exclusively on all of his cases. His practice keeps him busy in north central Indiana, as well as long distance consulting, and serving as one of the instructors for the Pitcairn Institute of Veterinary Homeopathy.
Dr Cooney has presented at numerous conferences including the PIVH Annual Meeting, Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy Conference, and the 2016 American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association Conference. He has published articles in the Journal of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association, Integrative Veterinary Care Journal, and Dogs Naturally Magazine.
Dr Cooney is currently serving as the president of the Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy. After twenty-plus years of conventional practice, he sees homeopathy as a much more elegant system of medicine.
