The explosion of technology means that electro-magnetic radiation from equipment like wi-fi, cellphones, cell towers, computers and TVs is everywhere and it’s harming animals, people and the planet. Dr Kangas will explain the biological effects of EMFs, which cause a variety of health issues, not just in people but also in our pets and wildlife.  She’ll explain how to minimize the effects of radiation by reducing our exposure to EMFs. She’ll provide information on tools like EMF protectors for you and your family, as well as dietary advice for dogs to mitigate the damage.

Dr Kangas earned her CVA certification at the Chi Institute in 2008, followed by additional training in advanced acupuncture, food therapy, herbal medicine and veterinary orthopedic manipulation (VOM).

Her areas of special interest in clinical practice include nutrition and food medicine, dental health, and pain management. Dr Kangas has authored several articles in veterinary journals and pet magazines and enjoys sharing her passion for pet wellness education by lecturing and presenting nationally and internationally.

Dr Kangas also has spent more than 15 years helping the homeless pets in her community, working with the San Diego County Department of Animal Services and serving as the medical director of the San Diego Humane Society & SPCA from 2002-2007.
